1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LitmusAI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

LitmusAI is a mobile application that uses on-device artificial intelligence to analyze images, videos, text, and audio for indicators of AI generation. The App also provides currency verification assistance and digital wellness features. All analysis is performed locally on your device.

3. Free Tier and Subscription

LitmusAI provides 20 free scans. After the free tier is exhausted, continued use requires a subscription.

• Price: $2.99 per month (USD)
• Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple per their refund policy

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

LitmusAI is an assistance tool, not a definitive authority. Detection results are probabilistic assessments based on available signals and should not be the sole basis for any decision. Specifically:

• AI image detection provides confidence scores, not certainties. False positives and false negatives can occur.
• AI text detection analyzes linguistic patterns. Results may vary depending on the text's language, style, and length.
• Audio detection is based on spectral analysis and may not catch all synthetic speech.
• Currency verification is for guidance only and cannot replace professional authentication, UV light testing, or physical inspection.

You acknowledge that no AI detection tool is 100% accurate and that you use the results at your own discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for harassment, defamation, or to falsely accuse others based on detection results
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models bundled with the App
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Redistribute or resell access to the App's features

6. Intellectual Property

LitmusAI, its design, code, AI models, and branding are the property of LitmusAI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to LitmusAI. All processing occurs on your device. We collect no personal data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitmusAI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on detection results
• Losses from accepting or rejecting content based on the App's analysis
• Currency verification errors

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LitmusAI and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which the developer resides.

13. Apple's Standard EULA

In addition to these terms, your use of the App is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
